After completing your qualification and receiving your academic transcript (and where relevant, receiving a final mark for any thesis), you’ll need to: 1. Your area of practice qualification determines the requirements for each component in your registrar prograOnce you have completed half of your supervised practice hours, you need to submit a progress report (PREA-form) to Ahpra. Once you have met the requirements for all components of your registrar program, you can submit your final progress report (PREA-form) and your application for endorsement (AECR-form) to Ahpra. To become eligible for general registration, the minimum qualification you’ll need to complete is a six-year sequence of education and training. Fourth-year graduates can choose from the following training pathways: 1. Masters) or higher (such as a three or four year Doctorate), or 2. Those completing one of the internship pathways will then need to pass the national psychology exambefore applying for general registration. All registered psychologists have an obligation to ensure they are familiar with and practise in accordance with the Board’s registration standards, guidelines, the Board-endorsed Code of ethics, and the National Law. When applying for general registration, please ensure that you are familiar with and able to meet these requirements. Those completing an internship pathway can later complete a bridging qualification and registrar program leading to endorsement.
