Letter to son from mom on becoming a father

You are the son that every mother can only dream of and I thank. Letter From Father To Son. Well, you know very well that I am not good with words. So, forgive me if this comes out as bland. Feel free to customize this letter so that it says exactly what you want to convey.

Watching your daughter grow up, being a part of her achievements, supporting her in times of needs will make you grow as a person too.

Being a father isn’t an easy job. Dads are there to provide guidance and support while also conventionally being the provider of the family. Dads, unlike moms, are often the ones who lay down the law of the house as the mom implements them. No one will watch your parenting the way they'll watch the mom -to-be. What is a letter to my son?

Embrace your ignorance. Yet the other day, you shook my world again. I saw that look in your eyes as you gazed on the beauty and miracle of your newborn daughter.

The other day, I watched you in a moment become a father. I heard the change in the timber of your voice as you spoke to her. And you go back to your home and slide it under your son ’s door. Because you will want the same that for him that I always wanted for you.

To be a light in this world that outshines all others. Love eternally, Your Father , Your Frien and Your Biggest Fan. As your dad and I fade into the background of your life I want to tell you it has been a privilege to have you as our son.

Your fulfillment is what I want, and it will come from following your dreams and living a life that has meaning and purpose for you. That includes: Making sure you are respectful. Teaching you how to try your hardest even when things aren’t easy. Showing you how to have manners.

Requiring you to be the best student you can be. The best I can do, son , is teach you and guide you to the best of my ability. As you grow, there are a few fundamental things I want you to cling to. Use them as your guide book, especially when life gets tough. Spread kindness like wildfire.

Your dad was the epitome of kindness.

I want to help you get the you need about being a new father (or moms, help you get dads the guidance they need!), share some stories about what to expect, and put you in a position to make moms proud and kids happy. Note: I stumbled upon this at a food outlet recently. It touched my heart and made me think. The letter is very touching and inspirational. I know there were hard times Dad faced as he and Mom raised nine children.

But he never gave up on caring for his children. We are currently – and still – strengthening our relationship (YAY!) and I obtained his permission to publish this on my blog. Tomorrow you are graduating from high school and preparing to move on to what’s next.

It is a surreal moment for me, both as a parent and as a man.
