Act photo id

To complete your registration, you must provide a recent photo of yourself for identification and test security purposes. This photo will print on your ticket and on the score report that is automatically sent to your high school. ACT will retain the photo for a period of time consistent with active use of test scores and test security purposes. Photo identification Bring acceptable photo identification. Mask ACT is requiring all examinees to bring and wear masks or other cloth face covering (both referred to as “masks”) to prevent the spread of the coronavirus.

Why Is a Photo ID Required? A photo ID is required to confirm your identity and registration. In the past, there have been issues with cheating—students have taken the ACT for other people. The information and picture on your photo ID will be checked against the info and photo on your admission ticket to ensure that everybody takes their own test. This applies to all examinees, regardless of their age.


This form also must be signed by a school official or notary who is not related to the student. Your photo will be on your Admission Ticket and will be checked against your photo ID on test day. If you don’t have an acceptable photo on your Admission Ticket, you may be prevented from taking the ACT.

This photo will be used for test security purposes such as verifying your identity using image-comparison technologies. As if taking the ACT itself wasn’t enough work, registering for the ACT can present a whole new set of challenges – especially to students without access to a computer or a valid photo ID. I only post this because I uploaded the wrong photo for my ACT admissions ticket and the information for how to change it was hard to find. It is codified at Section 809b of the Health Care Facilities Act (P.S. § 4409b).


Section 809b requires that certain health care employees in certain health care settings must wear photo. If you are part of an academic talent search program and didn’t have to submit a photo with your registration you need to bring your ACT Talent Search Identification Letter on test day. The deadline to upload a digital photo is one week later (details at actstudent.org). Seven states have strict photo ID laws, under which voters must present one of a limited set of forms of government-issued photo ID in order to cast a regular ballot – no exceptions. Voter ID laws deprive many voters of their right to vote, reduce participation, and stand in direct opposition to our country’s trend of including more Americans in the democratic process.


A digital photograph of the person. For non-US citizens (conscripted members of the Armed Forces) the identification must contain a taxpayer ID number, passport number with country of issuance, alien ID card number, or other foreign-issued picture ID.

Bush signed the Help America Vote Act into law, which required all first-time voters in federal elections to show photo or non- photo ID upon either registration or arrival at the polling place. REAL ID Act also requires, without exemption, that a digital photograph appear on each document. If you cannot present one of the primary photo IDs below, please present a combination of at least two secondary IDs. When you first register for the ACT, an ID is assigned to your record. This identification number begins with a dash and is followed by eight digits. You’ll find your ACT ID on the bottom of your admission ticket and at the top of your Student Report.


The ACT ID is used to match you with your ACT scores. The Act established identical requirements for state-issued licenses and ID cards nationwide. Getting a high-quality fake ID is easier than ever before, which makes spotting a fake ID more difficult.


However, there are warning signs that you can look out for.
