Croatia history

After the collapse of the Western Roman Empire in the 5th Century A. Ostrogoths for years, before being incorporated into the Byzantine Empire. It is a small yet highly geographically diverse crescent-shaped country. Its capital is Zagreb, located in the north. For example, historians disagree on the genesis of the earliest tribes of Croats. It lay near the division between the two halves of the Roman Empire and between their Byzantine and Frankish successors.


The Eastern and Western churches competed for influence there, an as the frontier of Christendom. Later they learned to use bronze then iron. After 3BC Greeks settled in colonies along the coast. By AD the Romans ruled it all.

Early in the 7th century a Slavic people called the Croats migrated to the area. At first they settled in Dalmatia. Roman towns were revived and new towns were created. Austria took all the territory that once belonged to Venice.


The Austrians also took Dubrovnik. It also abolished feudalism. The Croats soon became disenchanted as they wanted the new state to be federal whereas it became a unitary state. The state was renamed Yugoslavia.


The fossils were found to be dating back to the middle Palaeolithic period. However, this claim is also disputed by many. Believe us that dating a Croat will keep you away from boredom.


The greeting stands for both Hi! Because of a variety of dialets that are spoken in the country, it is common to find people having difficulty in understanding each others’ language and intention. During the World War II, the Croats murdered between 70and 100people.

The frogs in the museum are stuffed with cork and are doing a variety of things that people do during daily life. With a population of 2 the world’s smallest town is situated in the centre of Istria. The town also has a mention in Guiness World records.
