Glass flameworking

Local artists will provide guests with a look at the properties of glass through live demonstrations of flameworking , which is the art of melting and shaping glass using a torch, flame and tools. This course will introduce flameworking at a stationary bench torch. This beginner class is the best way to enjoy the excitement of melting glass with a torch while making your very own piece. You will experience melting small rods of glass , then controlling, shaping, and sculpting them to produce colorful marbles or small animals.

There are a ton of tools out there, and making sure you have the right ones for your project is important. Before jumping into flameworking , you should decide what is it you want to achieve.
