Is there a change to the date of the PEBC exam? What is PEBC certification? How does PEBC communicate?

PEBC will not be able to process applications for Document Evaluation unless a National Identifier Number is provided. You must apply online. There are two separate applications and two separate fees for Document Evaluation and the Evaluating Examination.


PEBC is pleased to collaborate with NAPRA in the delivery of this new program and believes the Gateway presents a simple, transparent and safe way to facilitate the pathway to licensure for IPGs wishing to live and work in Canada. PEBC requires proof that your education and training in pharmacy is comparable to that of Canadian programs. Please note: The minimum requirement is a four-year undergraduate degree in pharmacy. Once your qualifications have been accepte you are eligible to write the Evaluating Examination.

Mail to: The Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada, 7Church Street, Toronto, ON, M4W 2M4. If you are required to re-apply for Document Evaluation by the Pharmacy Examining Board of Canada (PEBC), then you are required to enrol in Pharmacists’ Gateway Canada first. The National Identifier Number is required for the Document Evaluation application. Information and documentation related to your application, including from language proficiency tests and PEBC examinations, will be associated with your National ID number and available in your profile. Along with the document evaluation letter will be an Educational Credential Assessment report, that must be submitted to CIC when creating Express Entry profile (see blog post Express Entry: Documents To Create Profile).


Once you have enrolle you will be able to access information about your progress. One very important thing to note is that an ECA report is valid for five years. This year period is both for PEBC certification and for CIC.
